OPORA stands in full solidarity with the civil society of Georgia

Having expanded our sphere of competence, we felt the need to transform our appearance, too.  The foremost purpose of our rebranding is to emphasize the experience and expertise we gained during many years of work, along with integration into contemporary life of our country and deep understanding of today's processes. 

The pro-government Georgian parliamentary group “Power of the People” has developed and registered in the Georgian parliament two draft laws under a shared provisional name “On Foreign Agents”. Yesterday, on September 29, within Human Dimensions Conference, which is taking place in Warsaw, the informal meeting of Ukrainian civil soiety representatives with Matteo Mecacci, Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights was held.

During August 1–4, OPORA held the first Open Election Data and Disinformation Academy in Warsaw, participated by the civil society representatives from 11 countries. The event was organized with the support of the National Democratic Institute (NDI).

Today in Warsaw, Poland started the 4-day Academy of Open Election Data and Disinformation. Academy participants represent NGOs engaged in election observation from 10 European countries (Poland, Moldova, Belarus, Romania, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Georgia, Armenia, and Tunisia).

The Civil Network OPORA, with support from the National Democratic Institute, is pleased to announce a call for participation in a four-day training program within the ‘Open Election Data & Disinformation’ Academy! The Academy will take place in Warsaw from August 1-4. Deadline: July 6, 2022

This year the Forum will take place on March 3-4 in Kyiv. We wish we could gather everyone offline and exchange views during discussions while drinking coffee. However, the coronavirus pandemic still does not make it possible. Therefore, the event will be held in a mixed format - guests and some speakers will join online, the rest will speak from the studio in Kyiv.
