European Union

The Delegation of the European Commission to Ukraine was opened in the centre of Kyiv in September 1993. The Delegation in Kyiv is one of over 130 European Union Delegations around the world. The Delegation's mandate includes promoting the political and economic relations between Ukraine and the European Union by maintaining extensive relations with governmental institutions and by increasing awareness of the EU, its institutions and its programmes, as well as monitoring the implementation of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine.
As part of the project "Advancing Democratic Integrity and Governance in Ukraine", implemented by the Civil Network OPORA with the support of the EU, a comprehensive research and analysis program will be carried out to assess the country’s readiness for Post-War democratic processes.

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), on behalf of the Federal Foreign Office, supports Ukraine in aligning its legislative framework with the requirements for EU accession. This support will contribute to the political dialogue between Kyiv, Berlin, and Brussels on the rule of law and fundamental values in the process of Ukraine’s integration into the EU.
National Endowment for Democracy (NED)

The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) is an independent, nonprofit foundation dedicated to the growth and strengthening of democratic institutions around the world. Each year, NED makes more than 2,000 grants to support the projects of nongovernmental groups abroad who are working for democratic goals in more than 100 countries. Since its founding in 1983, the Endowment has remained on the leading edge of democratic struggles everywhere, while evolving into a multifaceted institution that is a hub of activity, resources, and intellectual exchange for activists, practitioners and scholars of democracy the world over.
Swiss Solidarity

Swiss Solidarity is the benchmark organisation for leveraging the Swiss population’s spirit of solidarity to help those most affected by adversity in Switzerland and by disasters and humanitarian crises around the world. Through its fundraising campaigns for victims of natural disasters, conflicts and humanitarian crises, SwS supports local and international projects carried out by partner NGOs.
The International Renaissance Foundation

The International Renaissance Foundation (IRF) is one of the largest Ukrainian charitable foundations that has been developing an open society in Ukraine since 1990 where everybody has a sense of dignity, citizens are involved in the formation of the state, and the authorities are transparent and responsible. We work on the development of Ukraine in which human rights are securely protected and positive changes work for the benefit of the citizens. The foundation was founded by the philanthropist George Soros and is part of the Open Society Foundations international network.
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) was the principal U.S. agency to extended assistance to countries recovering from disaster, trying to escape poverty, and engaging in democratic reforms.
