Zakarpattia: a pack of counterfoils found on a street

  OPORA observers documented the campaigning on behalf of the candidates for the President of Ukraine at the district #73.  

On 14 May 2014 at 4pm in Uzhhorod city, Civil Network OPORA and Committee of Voters of Ukraine will present the awareness campaign for special elections of the President of Ukraine, scheduled for 25 May 2014.

On June 2, 2013 special elections of Berehove city mayor were held. Civil Network OPORA was conducting parallel vote tabulation in Berehove. OPORA observers were present at all polling stations of the town and gathered voting results data from Precinct Election Commissions

At 8pm, the voter turnout on special elections of Berehove City Mayor (Zakarpattia oblast) was 48.3 %. Such data was received by observers from the Territorial Election Commission. According to the parallel turnout tabulation, conducted by OPORA observers, it is 46.9%.

At 12am, the voter turnout on special elections of Vasylkiv Mayor was 20.2%%. Such data was received by observers from the Territorial Election Commission.

On Wednesday, May 29, we received information that unknown people call citizens of Berehovo (Zakarpattia oblast) and introduce themselves as representatives of Civil Network OPORA. These pseudo-activists assert that they are conducting sociological poll, connected to special elections of Mayor that are to be held this Sunday, on June 2

The Berehovo City Council's newspaper (Berehovo city in Zakarpattia oblast) provides a lot of its space to a candidate for the position of City Mayor, supported by the Party of Regions and Democratic Party of Hungarians of Ukraine – Zoltan Babiak.

As of 5/16/2013, the decision of Berehovo City Election Commission on delineation of district boundaries, taken on 4/29/2013 is not published.
