On September 13, Verkhovna Rada voted on the dissolution of the Central Election Commission. This decision was supported by 341 MPs.

Early dissolution of the Central Election Commission is expected to happen in the coming days, given the informal presence of 300 votes in the Parliament. OPORA states that the highest election administration body has become a hostage to political situation over the last 15 years, when the regular and extraordinary rotations in the CEC took place, regardless of whether there are grounds to recognize it guilty in systemic gross violations or unlawful actions.

Taking into consideration publicly announced intentions to consider lifting immunity of MPs on the very first day of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of IX convocation, Civil Network OPORA calls on newly-elected MPs of Ukraine to take this matter responsibly and with consideration of international standards. Decisions based on the popularity of pre-election promises can significantly weaken the institutional capacity of Parliament and independence of MPs.

On August 29, IX convocation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will start to work. It has been already announced that in addition to MPs taking an oath on this first day, its is planned to elect leadership of parliament, form VRU committees and consider ten draft laws. Civil Network OPORA has analyzed peculiarities of the previous convocation of the Parliament and prepared 20 facts about it.

The CEC haven't received the final financial report on expenses from campaign fund from almost half of majoritarian candidates. 47 of them were elected as MPs. These are the results of analysis made by Civil Network OPORA.

On 3 August meeting, the Central Election Commission announced results of early parliamentary elections in the nationwide multi-mandate district. Official results coincided with the results of parallel vote tabulation realized by Civil Network OPORA.

According to the results of 21 July 2019 parliamentary elections, 33 MPs, who used budget resources for personal media and campaigning purposes, have been re-elected to the Parliament. Three of them were in TOP-12 of MPs who have used state subvention funds for campaigning purposes.

If we took all the namesake candidates registered for 21 July 2019 early parliamentary elections, we could make a separate party list with at least 150 candidates.
