Facing the lawsuit of the People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleh Lukashuk, Khmelnytskyi Regional Representative Office of Chesno (Honestly) Movement also faced blame for bias of the published study on candidates. In particular, representativeness of the study of candidates for Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was questioned by the Oblast Press Club, where it was presented.
Most violations of Chesnometre tests refer to the lack of transparency of the ratio of income and expenses of candidates for Deputy. The next, according to the member of the Coordination Council of Chesno Movement in Khmelnytskyi Oblast Stepan Kushnir, is the involvement of candidates for People's Deputy in political corruption actions and schemes as well as some of them ignoring rights and freedoms of citizens.
The leaders in dishonesty, based on six criteria of the “chesnometre”, in Khmelnytskyi Oblast turned out to be the candidates in the district No.187 in Khmelnytskyi Oleh Lukashuk from the All-Ukrainian Union Fatherland (four criteria), a self-nominated candidate Oleksandr Slobodian (three), and a candidate in the SMED No.191Vasyl Shpak (the People's Party, three criteria). By the way, all of them are deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of current convocation, and President of Obolon CJSC Oleksandr Slobodian combines parliamentary duties with the position in the highly profitable structure for several convocations.
“In early October, the results of our study were sent to party campaign headquarters, and we also approached self-nominated candidates so that they could deny or comment the violations we have recorded,” informed Coordinator of the Movement in the oblast Oleh Chernenko. “In total, we received seventeen appeals from FPTP candidates. Seven of them were satisfied, and one was satisfied partially.”
By the way, the Chesnometre detected vague declarations of income and property, and their inconsistency with the way of life also for Head of the Oblast Organisation of the All-Ukrainian Union Svoboda, Ihor Sabii. Given this, members of the Oblast Press Club asked about other candidates whose violations seemed to be lying on the surface. However, according to Oleh Chernenko, the test carried out on the basis of four or five sources, hasn't detected them. “We approached credible media and Internet resources — OPORA and Livyi Bereh (The Left Bank). Our study is rather information to reflect on, information on the likelihood of violations,” noted Oleh Chernenko.
Meanwhile, information on the “likely violations” published by Khmelnytskyi newspaper Hazeta Podillia (Newspaper of Podillia) has already become the subject of the lawsuit of the candidate Oleh Lukashuk. He demands to deny the information, personal public apology from Oleh Chernenko, and recovery for moral damage for the benefit of a social childcare centre.
