PARLIAMENTARY BY-ELECTION: TENSIONS VARY FROM DISTRICT TO DISTRICT

Volyn oblast branch of the Civil Network OPORA appeals to the precinct and district election commissions and call them to fully comply the electoral legislation, namely to give the observers the copies of vote counting protocols.

In polling station #70669 (village of Mala Osnytsia, Manevychi raion), a voter have informed that he was proposed 300 UAH if he voted for Serhii Tihipko, nominated for the President of Ukraine.

More than 50% of voters in Volyn oblast have voted

On 20 May, at 12am, a press-conference titled "Vinnytsia oblast: five days before the election day" will be held in Vinnytsia city, at the address 7 Chervonykh partyzaniv St.

Managing positions of PECs were allocated during the formation of precinct election commissions. The number of heads, deputy heads, and commission secretaries representing Presidential candidates was proportional to the number of candidacies, submitted to PECs. To determine this proportional part of the DEC, the "Election of the President of Ukraine" information and analytic system was used.

  On 13 May 2014, from 3pm to 4pm, in the conference hall of the Volynmedia, located in Lutsk, 2 Kovelska St. of. 7 (4 floor), Civil Network OPORA and Committee of Voters of Ukraine will present the awareness campaign for special elections of the President of Ukraine, scheduled for 25 May 2014.

Civil Network OPORA has analyzed activities of all Members of Parliament, elected in majoritarian districts, and particularly those in Volyn oblast. Monitoring was conducted during seven months starting from December 12, 2012 to July 12, 2013 during the first and the second session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of VII convocation

The actual winner of the parliamentary election in the single-member electoral district No.20 — a self-nominated candidate Serhii Martyniak declared resignation from the deputy seat in Volhynian Oblast Council.

The night of 4 November, district election commission of the electoral district No.20 adopted the final protocol of vote counting in the district.
