On 2728 March 2016, Civil Network OPORA opens a public press-center to cover the course of voting and vote count in early election of Kryvyi Rih city mayor.

OPORA monitors early local election in Kryvyi Rih. On Sunday, 27 March, the organization will observe the voting, vote count and tabulation processes.

Please, note that on 2728 March OPORA's public press-center will be open at the address: 40 Metalurhiv Ave. (Reikartz Aurora Kryvyi Rih Business Hotel). Mass media representatives and international observers will be able to receive the latest, unbiased, professional and reliable information about the course of voting process on the election day. OPORA's representatives will report each two-three hours about the course of election, number and types of detected electoral violations.

OPORA will invite representatives of Kryvyi Rih Police Department of the Main National Police Headquarters in Dnipropetrovsk oblast, representatives of local authorities, heads of territorial election commissions, candidates to local council, heads of electoral headquarters and representatives of political parties to speak and discuss the issues.

Besides that, work space will be arranged for mass media representatives to receive the latest information on the spot.

Press-center will be open from 10 am, 27 March to 12 pm, 28 March.

Civil Network OPORA conducts citizen observation of early mayoral election in Kryvyi Rih, scheduled for 27 March 2016. Civic monitoring conducted by OPORA - is a type of network activity, aimed at impartial assessment of the preparation and conduct of elections, as well as preventing electoral violations through comprehensive civic action. A team of 5 observers have been working in the city since 6 February, and a group of short-term observers will join them on the election day to cover the third part of election precincts in Kryvyi Rih.
