On 29-30 November, experts of the OPORA and Donetsk Oblast Cell of the AUNGO Committee of Voters of Ukraine, who are staying in Donetsk oblast and organize civic observation, will provide the latest information about the course of election day in Mariupol and Krasnoarmiisk.

OPORA continues monitoring the regular local elections finishing in Donetsk oblast in the end of November. On Sunday 29 November, OPORA will observe the voting process, vote count and determination of the election results in Mariupol and Krasnoarmiisk – cities that are watched by the whole country after the elections were disrupted on 25 October.

OPORA conducts parallel vote tabulation in Krasnoarmiisk and, therefore, 100% polling stations are covered by its official observers. In Mariupol, qualitative observation will be organized at most of polling stations, and some mobile groups will promptly respond to any incidents and threats.

We would like to emphasize that Civil Network OPORA and Donetsk Oblast Cell of the AUNGO Committee of Voters of Ukraine have jointly opened acivic press-center to cover the election day. Press-center activities are broadcasted liveat the Donbas Hromadske TV. Mass media representatives and international observers will be able to receive the latest, unbiased, professional and reliable information about the organization of 20 November elections and the course of voting process on the election day.

PRELIMINARY WORK SCHEDULE OF PRESS-CENTER IN MARIUPOL

29 November (Sunday, from the whole day starting at 8:00 am at the address: city of Mariupol, 13 Kharlampiievska St., Spartak Hotel, cafe Sports-Hall)

11:00 AM – information about opening of polling stations and beginning of the voting process. Representative of regional authorities securing organization of commission activities and heads of territorial election commissions are invited to participate in the press-conference;

3:00 PM – Information about the course of voting process and possible violations at polling stations in Mariupol and Krasnoarmiisk;

6:00 PM – Information about the number and type of detected violations of electoral legislation at this time and for the whole election day. Representatives of Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk oblast were invited to participate;

8:00 PM – Characteristics of elections and election day in particular from participants of the election process. Candidates to local councils, heads of election headquarters, and representatives of political parties are invited to participate in the press-conference and present an analysis of the voting process.
