If you don't want to be hooked by election tricksters. If you are tired of candidates who demonstrate unfair play. Don't take bribes – vote consciously.

Since October 2014, not only bribers are responsible for giving illegal incentives, goods, or services, but also voters who receive a bribe. Candidates guilty of voter bribery may be punished with up to 7 years of deprivation of liberty, and citizens guilty of taking bribes (regardless of a chose they make and election results) – up to 2 year of corrective labor or restriction of liberty, or a fine from 1700 to 5100 UAH.

According to OPORA's observation results, voter bribery was the second most widespread violation in 2012 parliamentary elections. Despite the number of bribery incidents have decreased in 2014 parliamentary elections, the absence of efficient investigation of bribery incidents by law-enforcement bodies as well as ineffective work of judicial system made the certain candidates in 2015 local elections feel unpunished and continue illegal campaigning and voter engagement practices.

Don't give violators a chance to get mandates, vote consciously on 25 October!

We would like to remind that OPORA has prepared various unique instruments which will help you to follow the election campaign and make a conscious choice.
