Mayor of Vasylkiv City Serhii Sabov continues making personal political statements on the official web-portal of Vasylkiv City Council.

On 27 August 2015, a “Statement of Vasylkiv City Mayor concerning his leaving the UDAR party” was published on web-portal of Vasylkiv City Council, in which Serhii Sabov tells his “dearest friends and associates” that UDAR party is merging with the Solidarity party. In such a way, Vasylkiv City Mayor decided to inform the people about his decision to leave the UDAR and “not to participate in creation of a new political and financial association which doesn't correspond to European vision of further local community development and revival of Ukraine”.

Civil Network OPORA has already reported that Sabov uses official web-portal financed from local budget for his personal political benefit.

We would like to remind that in his previous appeal Serhii Sabov promised to include individuals nominated by the community in the list of candidates supported by the UDAR and parliamentary coalition.

Civil Network OPORA calls in state authorities and local self-government bodies not to misuse powers and adhere to the principle of equal opportunities.
