Civil Network OPORA announces recruitment of long-term observers in all Ukrainian oblasts to conduct citizen observation of local elections.
Long-term observers will have the following duties:
- Observing the course of election process, ignorance or violation of election rules and procedures at all stages – voting, vote count, vote tabulation etc.;
- Collecting accurate information about the course of election process and making substantive conclusions;
- Recording and reporting violations committed during the voting process or other stages of the electoral process;
- Giving a preliminary assessment of the election process based on the collected data.
Qualifying requirements:
- above 18 years old;
- nonpartisan and politically unbiased;
- having experience in electoral observation;
The following individuals cannot be qualified as official observers: an official of the state executive bodies, a court, law enforcement bodies or local self-government bodies; a person engaged in alternative (non-military) service.
Civil Network OPORA welcomes everyone willing to become long-term observers to register.
