News Elections

A man was noticed at polling station #741025 in assembly hall of a hostel located at 8 Henerala Bielova St., who tried to register as a journalist from different publications. Firstly, he registered as a journalist from the Dnipropetrovska Panorama, and later – from the Visti Prydnistrovia. The journalist came to polls accompanied by a man who was supposed to control whether his colleague is registered. However, observers had a suspicion because another editorial certificate was used, and one of them called law-enforcement bodies.

Law-enforcement offices called an investigative group in response, and asked the representative of the Visti Prydnistrovia stay in premises till the circumstances are ascertained. The unknown man who accompanied the journalist has interfered in the discussion. Then he called lawyers and disappeared yet before they arrived.

Operational-investigative group has prepared a package of documents for further clarification of circumstances. OPORA's representatives at polls have already given their testimony to the situation. It worth to mention that fake “journalists” from the Tochka Zoru publication have managed to register at the polling station while the operational-investigative group was working.

“Journalists” of the Visti Prydnistrovia were also noticed at polling station #740998 (School #9, sports hall,

21 Oleksandra Molodchoho St.). Documents of the “journalist” made observers and commission members suspicious. This fake journalist told OPORA's activist he “just wanted to make some extra money”. As of 7:50 PM, the “journalist” is staying with a police officer. Operational-investigative group was called.
