Civil Network OPORA continues informing you about observation results of MPs' constituency activities. OPORA's observers pay special attention to activities of MPs in their constituencies, personal reception of citizens, and results of problem-solving in their districts. We would like to present you a survey of the work done by three majoritarian MPs in Chernivtsi oblast: Ivan Rybak (SMD #202), Hryhorii Timish (SMD #203) and Maksym Burbak (SMD # 204).

MP Ivan Rybak was paying a working visit to Serbia on dates scheduled for constituency activities. Thus, most of citizen reception hours (in cities of Kitsman, Vyzhnytsia and Putyla) were scheduled for the beginning and the end of June. As for activities in the Parliament, the MP has registered three parliamentary inquiries in June 2015: concerning repairs of the oblast significance road, speeding up the financing of the Raion Program for Viral Hepatitis Treatment. The quantity of information about MP Ivan Rybak in local media and social networks has increased during the reporting period if compared to May 2015. According to Ivan Rybak, effective work of an MP in the district is possible only in cooperation with local government, what is quite difficult to achieve.  In June, MP Hryhorii Timish, who represents election district #203 in the Parliament, has attended all 13 plenary sittings and had a number of planned meetings and reception days in the district. Hryhorii Timish became a co-author of a draft law concerning alternative fuels in June. Taking into consideration the pressing dependence on imported oil and gas, as well as unresolved problem of gas supply to a large number of village in Hlybotsk raion, such law initiative is aimed to improve living conditions for the citizens of his electoral district. Today, three public receptions are helping Hryhorii Timish, and he plans to open two more. The MP has reported on his activities two times this month, on events organized by the Civil Network OPORA. Besides that, information about activities of the MP was systematically published on website of Chernivtsi oblast organization of the UDAR political party, as well as on his personal Facebook page and in regional mass-media outlets. Maksym Burbak is staying in his district in Chernivtsi oblast all the time free from committee meetings and work in the Parliament. He is actively providing information about his activities in social networks and mass media. The MP participates in celebrations held in the district, meets citizens and collectives of different institutions. 11 new citizen receptions have started functioning in June, located both in district #204 and outside it. During the reporting period, Maksym Burbak has submitted 4 legislative initiatives and 4 parliamentary inquiries concerning problems in Chernivtsi oblast and the district itself.
