Public discussion "Electoral reform:  transparent financing and meaningful campaigning"

On 27 March 2015 at 10:00 AM, a public discussion titled "Electoral reform: transparent financing and meaningful campaigning" is to be held. This public discussion will help to find answers on how to overcome challenges of reforming and help politicians to take well-weighed decisions and secure a real election law reform.

Where? The Hotel Kyiv (Crystal Hall, 26/1 Hrushevskoho St., 2 floor, Kyiv city).

When? 27 March from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

For whom? for experts specializing in electoral matters.

The following issues will be discussed:

  • efficient information campaigns during elections;
  • general principles of campaign advertising regulation;
  • expediency of establishing campaign spending limits for parties and candidates;
  • transparency of campaign funds;
  • expediency and forms of state campaign financing.

MPs of Ukraine, members of the CEC, employees of the Administration of the President of Ukraine and the Government, experts and activists of citizen organizations are invited to participate in the discussion of the election law reform.
