The Acting City Mayor Oleksandr Lysenko has won. He received 62,904 votes, what is 41%.

Former Acting Mayor and Deputy Head of Oblast Council Serhii Klochko turned out to be the closest competitor of Mr. Lysenko, and the second by number of votes in his favor – 31,640 of votes, what is approximately 21%.

Anatolii Zhuk is the third. He received almost 12% of votes – 18,084.

The election day turned out to be not so easy for the commission. On the election day, control coupons wasn't put in ballot boxes at 28 polling stations. Sumy election commission took a decision to put them in boxes later, with members of PEC and observers present. These votes were counted. The protocols of precinct election commissions were often returned for the correction. The following reasons for returns were the most common: district #159 for Presidential election was confused with the district #40 for local elections; some protocols were brought in open envelopes; some were not fully filled in, or the information was not accurate.
