Today, the Head of Odesa city territorial election commission Oleksandr Akhmetov has announced the results of Odesa Mayoral Election. According to the received protocols, Hennadii Trukhanov is the winner: 146,022 voters supported him. His opponent, Eduard Hurovits, has received 107,526 votes (38,496 less).

However, not all members of Odesa City Territorial Election Commission voted "for" the determination of Hennadii Trukhanov as a winner: commission member Yurii Borshchenko voted against and refused to sign the protocol on voting results.
It's interesting that Members of Odesa City Council were present on the meeting of city election commission with different status: Marat Koroliov, Oleh Dudnyk, Oleksandr Kazarnovskyi, Oleksandr Heorhiiev, and the Head of City Legal Department Oleksandr Ishchenko.
It's interesting that before the announcement of election results, a notification about the scheduled conduction of an extraordinary session of Odesa City Council appeared on its site. Oleksandr Akhmetov has also announced the election results and told that Hennadii Trukhanov had won.
Then, the newly-elected Mayor of Odesa took an oath and promised that he will "faithfully serve to the city". "Thanks to Odesa citizens and fellow countrymen who came to the elections and voted in this complicated time. It's a great credit of trust. There are some difficulties in the management of city economy, but I'm not afraid of them. The most important is that I feel the support of Odesa citizens, and my task is to secure safety in the city," - he stated.
Besides that, Hennadii Trukhanov is aimed to "secure the worthy life in the city".
Head of the oblast council Ihor Palytsia, who was also present on the session, congratulated Hennadii Trukhanov on "fair victory". "The elections were duly conducted at all polls. I didn't see any falsifications, and think that the elections were fair."
He also wished the city not to conduct such election campaigns, when "so many dirty information is poured", and the candidates to "respect each other".
We remind that on the eve of election day Hennadii Trukhanov was accused of being the citizen of Russia and Greece.
