The Chief ofMykolaiv Oblast Police Department Artur Merikov cannot guarantee 100% that the election process will be quiet in the oblast, but assures that the situation is under control. He told this during the meeting with oblast coordinator of CN OPORA Olena Kabashna and representative of the UN Yuliia Serbina.

According to A. Merikov, the order at 939 polling stations is secured by nearly two thousand law-enforcement officers, two at every polling station. Besides that, the polls are guarded by a nearly thousand members of civic formations. Employees of rescuing services are also mobilized and ready to act.

We should remind that four mined PECs were reported in Mykolaiv. All information wasn't proved. "We've transported the ballots and inspected facilities for explosive substance. We've also conducted the inspection repeatedly today, before the voting. The specialists have inspected all polling stations, and the electoral process has started at 8am. Nobody could bring anything inside, but we've checked there also." - the Chief of Police Department said. A. Merikov has also told that a suspicious car with Russian  number plate was detained at blockhouse in Mykolaiv. It turned out, that the people are simple citizens of Odesa. "We receive different information. Somebody didn't like the car with Crimean number plate, they called us and we checked it," - assured the police officer.
