On Friday, 20 May, Civil Network OPORA invites journalists and civic experts to the press-conference, dedicated to the analysis of pre-electoral situation in Lviv obast.

Long-term observers will tell whether the polling stations are ready to conduct the voting process, and air their forecasts on the course of the election day in Lviv and oblast. Besides that, activists will tell about the observation campaign in detail, including activities of short-term observers on May 25.

Chairman of the State Voter Register administration department of Lviv OSA Fedir Aleinikov was invited to participate in the event. He will describe the process of making amendments to the register of voters, and will tell how many people were willing to change their polling address temporarily.

Civic monitoring conducted by OPORA - is a type of network activity, aimed at impartial assessment of the preparation and conduct of elections, as well as preventing electoral violations through comprehensive civic action. Since March, OPORA conducts a wide observation campaign during snap Presidential election, interim Parliamentary elections (district #83), and special local elections. The organization cooperates with 175 long-term observers, who are watching the course of election campaign in all Ukrainian regions. On the Election Day on May 25, 3,000 activists will join them to conduct the parallel vote tabulation, based on statistical sample.
