Today, on May 12, the awareness campaign for special elections of the President of Ukraine, scheduled for 25 May 2014, was presented in Vinnytsia. The presentation was conducted by representatives of Civil Network OPORA and CVU in Vinnytsia oblast.

Representatives of Presidential candidates' election headquarters in Vinnytsia participated in the event.

According to the Electoral Programs Coordinator of the Civil Network OPORA Oleh Levchenko, representatives of election headquarters should react to changes in legislation and know their rights. Thus, OPORA and CVU are conducting the awareness campaign within the Project "Building capacity in electoral trainings and raising voter awareness", implemented by the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine, supported by the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Development, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway.

"This resource was launched the last year. The system may be useful for DECs and PECs, who need the help, as long as many members of PECs don't have experience in elections. Thus, it's important to provide all available instruments to study the law. This very goal has our presentation today.

Member of Vinnytsia oblast office of the CVU Yurii Yampilskyipresented the possibilities of on-line training system for members of election commissions "VYBORKOM". He explained representatives of headquarters how the system functions. In particular, that on-line training system for members of election commissions "Vyborkom" is aimed to providing remote training for members of election commissions, and other interested persons.

Besides that, the system will be a base of knowledge where different documents and information about the organization and conduct of elections may be found.

All participants of the event have received a manual "On-line training system for members of election commissions "Vyborkom"".

Oleh Levchenko told participants about additional sources of information about the election process, like Map of violations, and how to use it, and about the TV program, jointly created by the OPORA and Hromadske TV.
