Yuliia Tymoshenko was the first presidential candidate who visited Khmelnytsk. She spoke in front of students, officers and teachers the of the National Academy of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, answered the questions of journalists at press-conference, gave an interview to local TV channels, and appealed to the people from stage, specifically established at Maidan Nezalezhnosti.
Three-four thousands of people were listening to the presidential candidate's speech and answers to questions regarding lustration and how to overcome corruption. Tymoshenko's speech was dedicated to the analysis of the situation in the country, her intention to reform economic and judicial systems. Besides that, Ms. Tymoshenko told how she met with citizens of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts: "Most of people there are Ukrainian patriots and want to live in an undivided country..."
Tymoshenko stressed: "Petro Poroshenko's team has asked me the second time to withdraw my candidacy in his favor. For the whole two and a half years behind the bars, I have never laid down my arms in fighting against the oligarchs and corruption, and never followed double standards. Today, economic-political-business clan is fighting for the power today; they have their candidate and want the revanche."
The presidential candidate has started her visit to Khmelnytsk with the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Then, she was invited to speak in front of the border guard detachments, which is going to be deployed to the eastern border of Ukraine.

Civic monitoring conducted by OPORA - is a type of network activity, aimed at impartial assessment of the preparation and conduct of elections, as well as preventing electoral violations through comprehensive civic action.
Since March, OPORA conducts a wide observation campaign during snap Presidential election, interim Parliamentary elections (district #83), and special local elections. The organization cooperates with 175 long-term observers, who are watching the course of election campaign in all Ukrainian regions. On the Election Day on May 25, 3,000 activists will join them to conduct the parallel vote tabulation, based on statistical sample.
