Today, the Verkhovna Rada has repealed 9 laws adopted on January 16 (#721-7, 722-7, 723-7, 724-7, 725-7, 726-7, 727-7, 728-7, 729-7) during its extraordinary session. Instead of some repealed laws, 4 new laws were introduced: # 4030, 4037, 4038, and 4039.
Besides that, the consideration of granting amnesty for those arrested during Maidan events became a stumbling block. Government representatives said that arrested people will be granted amnesty on condition that the Maidan will clear the road in the center and take away tents. Negotiations between the parties continue. The session is shifted to January 29, 11am.
