Yesterday night the office of Stryi rayon organization of the Party of Regions (which is situated on 43Bandera street) was set on fire by the unknown individuals. Head of the office informed the long-term observer of CN OPORA that the fire took place on the night of 23/24 July. A bottle with burning liquid was tossed into the office window. The fire was put out by the man on duty with help of the neighbors.
“It is not just an arson, it is also a terrorist act, because we rent the office on the ground floor and people live in their flats on the first floor. They could have burned alive.” – said Myron Melnyk. At the moment a criminal case was started. The head of the office estimates the material loss at 10 000 UAH. And it is only if they make the renovations themselves.
We remind that it is already the second arson during this month. In Kryvyi Rih city on the night of 5 July the malefactors set on fire the rayon office of the Party of Regions in Kryvyi Rih.
