The Civil Network OPORA received a letter from UDAR party.  Apart from the other information, the letter included a proposition to provide a support for civic organizations which are aimed at securing fair election campaign.

Lviv office of the Civil Network OPORA received yesterday an e-letter from UDAR oblast branch. The main message of the letter is an appeal to civic leaders to ensure transparent and fair parliamentary elections, in particular "to monitor attempts of bribing voters by candidates of all parties, to spread reasoned information about unfair participation of candidates from different political parties in social networks, conduct meetings with candidates for deputies and to provide them specific requirements of their communities that would best serve the interest of its people, to vote and persuade all close people to vote according to conscience, not the buckwheat".

In the light of importance if the upcoming elections and the attention of Ukrainian and international community, such appeal of the political party is fairly justified. However, the letter, besides the appeal, also includes some propositions for NGOs. Lviv offic of UDAR is ready to provide efficient support for civic initiatives, aimed at securing fair elections, to represent the interests of NGOs at local, oblast, and national level. Besides that, the Party will support projects of NGOs, aimed at community development and fraud prevention.

The Civil Network OPORA also thinks that its necessary to secure a qualitative campaign monitoring and voting observation. However, we ask the party to keep the selection and evaluation of all projects transparent, and provide financial or other efficient support for NGOs aimed at securing fair elections openly.
