Three representatives of OPORA were involved in a car accident on the way to the city of Berdiansk to observe the mayoral election. Two of them are injured and one, according to preliminary information from doctors, has a spine injury.
On 22 November, the second ballot for mayoral election began in the city of Berdiansk (Berdiansk raion, Zaporizhia oblast). OPORA's representatives were on the way to observe the election process. On the way they got into an accident, caused by bad weather. The day before, 21 November, there was a wet snow in Zaporizhia, which turned into ice at night. Due to the ice-crusted road, the car got into a pothole and hit a pipe. The victims were taken to the Central Raion Outpatient Clinic in Prymorsk.
According to the road accident report to the Head of National Police of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko, two representatives of OPORA "received injuries in the form of bruises, chest contusion, and closed craniocerebral injury." Driver Yurii Borodavka "Received bodily injuries in the form of a compression fracture of the 12th vertebra and chest contusion."
As of 10:30 AM, an ambulance left for the victim to transport him to the Zaporizhia Oblast Clinical Hospital. At the moment, we are raising funds to provide him with comprehensive medical care.
