One third of district election commissions has changed

“It means both candidates for the President and members of election commissions themselves are negligent about their responsibilities. The number of substitutions is shocking in fact. Commission heads were substituted 139 times in 199 territorial districts. Deputy heads were substituted 79 times and secretaries – over 120 times. District election commissions are not able to fulfill their duties in such circumstances,” – Mr. Radchenko stated.

At the same time, 445 thousand 111 persons have been included in precinct election commissions, he said.

“We have an army of precinct election commissions comprising half of million members. However, it should be mentioned that the amount of commission members is quite unequal. Quite many, over 1,5 thousand of polling stations have minimal membership of PEC members – 9 persons,”– Mr. Radchenko said.

We would like to remind that district election commission members have had 7,355 members representing 43 candidates for the President. However, the corresponding changes were made after 5 of them had withdrawn.
