On 9 June 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chasopys Creative Space (3 L. Tolstoho St., Kyiv), a presentation titled “Responsible and efficient MPs: assessment through the prism of district division” will be held. Representatives of Civil Network OPORA will present objectives and first results of its monitoring campaign covering activities of majoritarian MPs in 36 districts of 12 Ukrainian oblasts. The presentation will cover topical problems in the districts and efforts of MPs aimed at their solution. Besides that, OPORA will present the preliminary assessment results of MPs' adherence to regulations on personal reception of citizens and functioning of public receptions. Besides that, participants will discuss possible ways of increasing MPs' transparency and accountability, and demonstrate how the RADA website could be used to watchdog activities of MPs. 

 

These and other peculiarities of OPORA's parliamentary monitoring campaign, as well as potential of the RADA website will be covered by:

Leading experts, representative of parliamentary factions and their assistants, journalists, politologists, representatives of political parties and NGOs, diplomatic missions and international organizations were invited to the event.
