Yesterday, on June, 2nd, the observers of CN “OPORA” noticed some problematic situations in Lviv and Lviv region where the graduates had the Ukrainian language and literature testing. The trouble case for them was the list of the documents for entering the institution where the testing takes place.

The first testing showed that the graduates were deprived of the information about the list of documents required on the testing premises.

According to the procedure approved by the UCEQE, the graduate should have the certificate for the evaluation, passport or the birth certificate the person registered with, and the graduate can take the invitation with the address of the testing center. The graduate is permitted to pass the testing provided he has first two documents.

CN OPORA covered 70% of the testing premises in Lviv region and in half of the points there were come cases when the graduate forgot the passport (the birth certificate) or the certificate. Such persons could have lost the chance to become students this year. But on the testing points the delegates of LCEQE and the responsible for the TP resolved the problems in various ways. In school # 98 the graduate was permitted to pass tests without the passport, in school # 82 the graduate promised that he will be provided a passport later, in Lviv professional college of railway transport two graduates without passports weren’t permitted to pass the tests.

|The graduates from the suburban villages and towns had less chances to get to the testing premises – their relatives couldn’t provide passports in time. OPORA claims that the graduates haven’t equal rights for the higher education because the staff often violates the instructions.

The main reason of such situations to the mind of OPORA is the narrow information campaign on the Ukrainian level as there was no information on national TV channels and radio. We ask the graduates to read the documents sent to them by regional evaluation centers attentively and know rights and duties, and the staff of the centers should keep to the procedures.
